Developing Mozilla/Firefox Accessibility Extension
This position includes the development of a toolbar extension
to Mozilla and Firefox browsers for improving usability by
people with disabilities and use by web developers for testing
their web pages for functional accessibility by people with
disabilities. The toolbar extends the navigation and user
styling features of Mozilla and Firefox to support new Dynamic
HTML accessibility standards being developed by the W3C[1].

Experimental use of :ROLE for creating document structure

Applicants must have skills and interest in the following areas:
1. XHTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
2. Javascripting
3. W3C DOM as implemented by the Geko rendering engine used
in Mozilla and Firefox
Other useful experience:
1. Programming skills in other languages like C++ and Java
2. Interest or experience working with people with
disabilities and accessible web design
3. Development skills in multi-media like real media,
quicktime, Windows Media Player, Flash and Adobe PDF
Work Information:
Hours per week: 15-20
Pay rate: $9-$15/hour (depending on experience)
Work hours: Flexible
