Solidware Technologies, a start-up software test products company, seeks
a Software Manager and Developer to lead our Illinois-based engineering
team.  This is a highly visible and influential position reporting to
the VP of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
-Manage the Illinois Engineering Team
-Work as part of the larger Solidware Engineering team
-Act as engineering point of contact and interact with development team
in Boulder, Colorado and the University team in Urbana-Champaign
-As a hands-on Engineering Manager, build and lead a team of engineers
and interns focused on supporting the development team with
implementation, research, and development
-Set targets for team; track and report progress
-Set and achieve high standards for quality & stability, including good
testing methodologies
-Create and foster a team environment
-Guide team in setting and achieving training/career development goals

Key Requirements:
-Previous engineering management experience
-Experience in Object-oriented development
-Strong skills in development in Java and one or more of the following
programming languages: C, C++, C#
-Experience in one or more of the following relational databases:
Oracle, DB2, Sybase, Microsoft SQL
-Exceptional problem solving skills
-Experience with multi-platform and multi-threaded enterprise software
is a plus

Qualifications/Experience:
8+ years experience in application development in a business setting

Must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or
equivalent. Master?s Degree preferred.
