Scalix is interested in hosting a UIUC intern in San Mateo, California
this summer to work on our open-sourced, enterprise email and
calendaring system.

There's a number of interesting projects underway that may appeal to
students at UIUC:

- AJAX-based web-client and mash-ups
- Mobile/Wireless device synchronization
- Presence/VOIP/IM integration
- Messaging standards support (eg CalDAV/WebDAV)
- Open-source packaging and tools
- Directory/LDAP integration and user authentication
- Clustering/scalability improvements

We can discuss these opportunities in more detail with interested
candidates. 

Our technology platform is quite broad:  the server platform is
Linux/Apache-based; the web-client is written in JavaScript/Java, our
middleware and search-services are written in Java, the underlying mail 
server is written in C, and our Outlook connector is written in C++.
We'd be interested in candidates with experience and interest in any of
these languages (or other similar ones of relevance).
