developing code. Candidates must be team-oriented and possess effective

to support client projects.  

Education
Bachelor?s degree required in Computer Science, Information Technology
or related field   Candidates should have relevant computer science
coursework, including object oriented design and programming with the
Java programming language. Participation in any extracurricular project
environments or internships is a plus.

Required Skills
Recent graduates must be proficient with the Java programming languages
and the fundamentals of object-oriented programming, including software
design concepts and design patterns. In addition, candidates should have
an understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and its
components as well as have experience with general approaches to
programming and programming concepts (i.e. code deployment and
execution, debugging, logging, etc). Exposure to the web development
environment and a general understanding of multi-tiered applications is
expected. 

Candidates should have experience with the following programming
languages
?Core Java (JDK 1.3+)
?Object-oriented programming concepts
?Exposure to software design fundamentals and design patterns
?Proficiency with web languages, including XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Alternate scripting languages such as PHP, ASP, Perl, or Python a plus.

Job Brief
As a Functional Analyst at Roundarch, you will work closely with the
Functional Lead and User Experience project team leadership to
understand the business and project requirements.  With this insight you

drives the development of the functional requirements, design
specifications, and test scripts for the project. Participation in the
design, implementation, and testing of functionality is required. 

Candidates should be enthusiastic about system analysis and design,
business process improvement, business requirements gathering, and
content mapping and migration in a consulting environment.  Candidates
should expect to spend approximately 90% of their time on deliverable
development. Candidates must be team-oriented and possess effective

Education

participating in the development and delivery of user experience
deliverables including competitive analysis, user and stakeholder
research, site and application heuristics, user personas and scenarios,
conceptual modeling, wireframe development, functional specifications,
and usability testing.  Your contribution to the user experience team
will be directed by the User Experience project team leadership.

skills a must.  Advanced problem identification and solution
capabilities an advantage; prospective employees should have the ability
to identify and simplify problems for presentation to a variety of
audiences.  Understanding of various user interviewing and research
techniques a plus but not required.  Experience with internet technical
standards such as XHTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, or RIA platforms a plus
but not required.

Scope of Position / Summary:
Grad RA designer and developer needed to design, implement, and test web
mining applications using MS SQL on the back end.  The system will do
focused web crawling, and automated entity extraction to support a next
generation training environment for the U.S. Army.  

Key Responsibilities:
?	Write/edit/debug web mining system
?	Maintain database system
?	Work with user interface designers

Required Qualifications:
?	Advanced knowledge/experience with Microsoft MS SQL (Experience with
other database systems would be beneficial)
?	Java, C++ and Perl programming experience 
?	Experience with regular expressions
?	Completed coursework in Database Systems (prior experience in data
management work preferred)
?	Windows and Linux experience
