This role is primarily focused on Front Office Trading, Electronic
Trading Systems, Position Keeping, Booking Systems and Exchange
Connectivity Networks, acting as a first point of contact for trading
support and systems issues.

Principal Responsibilities:
    * Act as the first point of contact for traders and others within
the firm to respond to and investigate trading system issues
    * Handle configurations, testing, releases, installations, and
monitoring of trading applications and the respective back end systems. 
Perform system and network troubleshooting and resource optimization
    * Communicate with other members of the Support teams to ensure
consistency of information and ensure that solutions and processes are
well documented
    * Communicate and work with external parties such as exchanges and
vendors, as appropriate
    * Effectively prioritize workload and react to immediate systems
issues with good judgment and credible decision-making
    * Maintain ongoing and growing technical knowledge and learning

Qualifications-Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    * Minimum two (2) years of related or similar work experience in
Front Office Trading Application Support at a financial firm
    * BA or BS in computer science, engineering, or related field
    * Passion for trading
    * Solid troubleshooting skills
    * Excellent understanding of SQL
    * Excellent understanding Linux/Unix including awk, sed, and regular
expressions
    * Experience with scripting languages (Perl, UNIX Shell, Python,
etc)
    * Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures
    * Results oriented, highly flexible, team player
    * Ability to understand the big picture as well as be in command of
the details required (and execute these details) to provide solutions
    * Ability to exercise judgment in what and how to communicate with
other parties and to ensure customer satisfaction
    * Knowledge of C++ and Windows/Unix administration is highly
desirable
    * Familiarity with financial markets and/or trading is highly
desirable

Illinois, seeks to hire an undergraduate hourly employee to assist in
providing technical support and training to NetMath students and staff.

The right candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication
skills,  as well as the ability to quickly learn new technologies.

Preference will be given to candidates who are proficient in the
following: Mathematica, Microsoft Word, and Camtasia.

We initially expect to be able to provide 5-10 hours of work per week, 
or possibly more depending on ongoing projects and the candidateâ??s
skills.

The job assignment begins immediately and may last until the candidate
graduates.

The base salary is set at $12/hr, but has a chance of increasing based
on performance and budgetary constraints.
