Re: [SigBio] RE: ACM Meetings with Vint Cerf / SIGBio Abstract

Props to Kim for getting the abstract put together and making sure we
go first, helps me a lot too. Everyone who plans on talking should
kind of reminisce about what we talked about during EOH, but keep in
mind we're talking to one of the founders of the Internet as we know
it today, not some ignorant 4th grader and his parents. I'm sure well
do fine.

Also, does anyone think we should dress up at all?

Thanks Kim,

Of course we'll make sure you go first.

Thanks a ton for doing this!

I can't wait to see your project!

Hey,

It was mentioned to me that you needed an abstract of what we're going to
be talking about...

Here's the (slightly modified) description of our project from EOH:

Biological cells have certain rules they live by -- when to divide, what
genes to express, etc. We are modeling cell growth and evolution based on
these and other rules using cellular automata. We hope to develop our
project into a teaching and research tool.

Also, I've got a meeting at 8:00pm that I'm really hoping to make... can we
try to make sure that SIGBio presents in one of the earlier timeslots?
