Dr. Helen J. Neville, The Robert and Beverly Lewis Endowed Chair and
Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience, Director of the Brain
Development Lab, and Director of the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience
at the University of Oregon, will present the Beckman Institute's 2007
SmithGroup Distinguished Lecture on Friday, October 26, 2007.  The
lecture will take place at 12:00 noon in the Beckman Auditorium.  Her
talk is entitled "Experience shapes human brain development and
function."

An abstract and biosketch is attached.

A reception will follow.
