[SigCHI] Fall '03 HCI courses

Howdy folks, for your consideration, here's some of the HCI courses I
know of, that will be offered in Fall 2003.

CS397BpB: Principles of User Interface Design: a good class for
stepping into the field

CS491BpB: Seminar in Human-Computer Interaction: contact
bpbailey@xxxxxxxx to enroll. You'll get to learn about the wide variety
of topics within HCI. Don't be scared off by the course number, talk to
Prof. Bailey.

LIS220: Design of Usable Information Interfaces: similar to CS397BpB
but more of a focus on WWW and maybe more of a Psychology influence
than CS

Psych224: Cognitive Psychology: almost all of the things in this course
are relevant to HCI and AI

Psych258: Human Factors in Human-Machine Systems: Science of people +
technology (all technology), much of this course is relevant to HCI as
well, but IMO this is better to take after/while doing an HCI course
with Prof. Bailey or LIS220.

If you have any questions about studying HCI at UIUC, feel free to
contact me and I'll try to help ya out.

Have fun with registration
