this may very well be the case, but they seemed to want to do it on the network, and this was a response to jumpstart which may be more difficult to set up. I believe you yourself were suggesting using disck clonging over jumpstart.

how does jumpstart bypass this? during the jumpstart install don't you still have to change this manually. well using g4u you have to do it manually after the install. not perfect, but it still seems a little easier to set up that jumpstart.
