SigBio Update
by Arwin Levinson and Joey Lasky
SigBio is the special interest group for computer
applications in biology. At the last SigBio meeting we discussed an article on
using structural homology to model proteins. Our next project will be to use
the algorithm provided in the article to write a program in C or C++ which will
compare sequences from two proteins. For those interested in this and other
biocomputing applications, please join us at our meetings in 1102 DCL every
other Thursday at 7:00pm. Our next meeting is Thursday, October 13.
