Hello and welcome back to another year of school. This year, SIGBot, building on our past successes, is looking to take our project to the next level. Incorporating AI, high powered mechanical systems, and raw ingenuity, we will construct the ultimate machine, one that mankind has desired since the beginning of time. Yes, that's right, FOOZBOT. Capable of playing foozball against a human opponent, Foozbot will destroy the competition, namely you. Our first meeting will be Wednesday, September 4th at 7 PM. Meet at the ACM office in DCL. We'll decide on a standard meeting time during that meeting and get everyone settled in. Hope to see you there.

The MacWarriors SIG is a Macintosh User Group for people at University of Illinois Champaign/Urbana, who use, develop or are interested in Apple Macintosh and related technologies. We offer tutorial workshops, engaging projects, and a community for Apple enthusiasts of all levels to enjoy.
Past projects include our quake-powered campus virtual tour, and our EOH award winning, Slash-Dotted, OpenGL file-system browser, a.k.a. 3DOSX. Both can be freely downloaded available at our website.

If you've ever wanted to teach a computer to comprehend a story, deduce your mood from an image, or play games, SIGArt is for you. Past projects include a system for detecting facial emotions using a
video stream, and teaching a computer to play arbitrary board games using natural language and a camera. We meet once a week to discuss topics in Artificial Intelligence and work on our project. Ideas for this year include intelligent web searching and virtual reality. If you're interested in AI but don't have much theory or coding experience, fear not, this is a great way to learn!
First SIGArt Meeting will be Sunday, September 8th in front of the ACM office.
