SIGOps has been meeting regularly on Tuesdays at 7:00 to discuss project work for the remainder of this year and next. Filesystems and bootloading have been a major topic of discussion at many of our meetings. If anyone has anything they'd like to work on or talk about that relates to operating systems, feel free to stop by. We might be starting off next year with a series of workshops and talks about various operating system topics.

SIGNet has wrapped up a successful EOH this year by taking some time to relax. We've been moving some of our regular meetings from 2240 to various restaurants across campus. Although the atmosphere has relaxed, we've still been planning ahead for next year. Next year we plan on giving various introductory talks for those who would like to learn more about networking, and also plan on building some lighted CAT5 cable to both support these talks and to present as an EOH project.

Since after EOH, we've been meeting at 8pm on Wednesdays instead of the Tuesday/Saturday times that were listed. Webmonkeys is in low gear after getting BetterUIUC.org online for EOH. If you need help or just want to talk about web technology, stop by our informal Wednesday sessions. In DCL L416 at 8:00 PM, we can help answer your questions about HTML, PHP, MySQL, and the latest trends in web development. And keep an eye on BetterUIUC.org -- it's getting better all the time.
