MacWarriors is still coming up with ideas for EOH projects. We are going to attempt some smaller projects this semester to teach new members Obj-C/Cocoa to get them familiar with the programming language and API's. This Saturday (Oct 4th) at our weekly meeting, Robert Chin will be giving a talk on the basics of the Obj-C Language, a must see for those sad souls still coding in C++, or those interested in learning Macintosh programming in general.

SIGUnix is working on our project, a database resident entirely in main memory. This should reduce the I/O overhead common in other databases. All those that are interested are welcome to attend.

SigWin is having a great start this year. SigWin works with Windows development and programming. We have a good group going so far, and are always open to new members. We are already working on a board/card game, which involves C# and DirectX technologies. We are also looking to see if we can get some X-box development tools to make some Xbox games! We're still talking with Microsoft about this at the moment.
Anyways, our meetings are on Saturdays, in 2240 DCL at 3:00pm. Generally, we have plenty of food and snacks to go around, courtesy of Microsoft. Come check us out! Feel free to write to sigwin@acm.uiuc.edu about anything.

SigMobile, Special Interest Group for Mobile Computing, is looking to finish up the PocketPC 2002 Barcode program by the end of October. We are looking for new members to help out with finishing and testing our program. No experience is needed, so just drop in on one of our meetings.
