There are no further development plans for SoundMangler. A demo of SoundMangler will be presented at a conference on April 16. There are performance problems with SoundMangler, including an unacceptably long delay. Development may be resumed on a later date.
The schedule for weekly meetings is listed below:
4/8 Jason Luther Dissection of DropClock and Overview of BeOS Programming 4/15 Matt Wronkiewicz Introduction to the Application Kit 4/22 Jason Luther Introduction to the Interface Kit 4/29 Matt Wronkiewicz Introduction to the Storage Kit 5/6 Jason Luther Introduction to the Support Kit
The project ideas considered were a linguistics analysis tool and a port of the VNC system to the BeOS. The linguistics tool would utilize speech recognition, processing, and generation. VNC is a remote display system similar to X-Windows which works on a variety of platforms. More information about VNC can be found at http://www.cam-orl.co.uk/vnc/
