Brian Swetland
Senior Kernel Engineer, Danger, Inc.

Brian Swetland currently works at Danger, Inc., where he contributes to world domination as a member of the firmware and OS team for the hiptop communicator platform. Prior to joining Danger as its 13th employee, Brian was a kernel engineer at Be, Inc., who promptly hired him after he wrote a SCSI driver for an unsupported card he happened to own in the space of a week.

Before moving out to the greener pastures of the San Francisco Bay area, Brian was a student of the University of Illinois and a member of ACM@UIUC, where he headed up design and implementation MechMania I, II, and III for the Reflections|Projections conference. He also worked at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, where he worked on the X Mosaic browser.
