
Brian Swetland
Senior Kernel Engineer, Danger, Inc.
Brian Swetland currently works at Danger, Inc., where he contributes
to world domination as a member of the firmware and OS team for the
hiptop communicator platform. Prior to joining Danger as its 13th
employee, Brian was a kernel engineer at Be, Inc., who promptly
hired him after he wrote a SCSI driver for an unsupported card he
happened to own in the space of a week.
Before moving out to the greener pastures of the San Francisco Bay
area, Brian was a student of the University of Illinois and a member
of ACM@UIUC, where he headed up design and implementation
MechMania I, II, and III for the Reflections|Projections conference.
He also worked at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications,
where he worked on the X Mosaic browser.
