|PuzzleCrack||Annual Puzzlehunt Competition|
PuzzleCrack 2007 is the sixth annual "puzzlehunt" competition at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign . It follows in the footsteps of the MIT Mystery Hunt, Stanford's Jackpot, and Microsoft's Puzzlehunt.
PuzzleCrack is a little different. Unlike most competitions, PuzzleCrack has few rules. Puzzles can be worked on by individuals or teams. Pretty much any resource is fair game. All that matters is who gets the correct answer each day.
Moreover, PuzzleCrack posts all puzzles on its website, which means that people from all over the world are competing. Certain puzzles may be easier for UIUC students just as some puzzles will be easier for cryptographers. Nonetheless, anybody can solve these puzzles.
Puzzles can consist of pretty much anything. We're not going to tell you what the puzzle is or how to solve it.
The goal is to have fun and to find the best and brightest minds out there. If winning prizes doesn't interest you, wouldn't it be nice to prove you're the best.
