Do I need to attend all the sessions?

Nope. You can attend whatever sessions you want. If you want to run to a lab, or just take a break, no problem. The only thing we ask is that you do not come in during the middle of a session.

Do I need to register?

You do not have to register. But, if you do not register, there is no guarantee you will have a seat in 2405 SC, and there is no guarantee that you will be provided any food (in fact, you mostly will not get dinner on Saturday).

Do I need to have an iPhone or iPod Touch?

No, there is no requirement for device hardware. You can still use the iPhone Simulation included with the free iPhone SDK. We will not be running programming competition submissions on devices, so you also do not need a device for the programming competition.

Do I have to have a Mac to participate?

No, there is no requirement of computer hardware. However, we will not provide computers so if you do not have one, you will be unable to try out the concepts and code being presented. In addition, you would be unable to participate in the programming competition.

What should I have installed before I come?

Please install the latest iPhone SDK (version 2.2.1). If you have an earlier version (2.1 or 2.2), that should be fine as well.

Will the labs have computers? Or should I bring my own?

We will not provide computers in the labs, so you should bring your own.

What should I expect to see in a session?

A session will typically consist of about one-hour's worth of technical talk, followed by 15 minutes of Q & A.

Will I have access to the slides ahead of time?

Yes, they will be posted on this site the day of the conference.
