DevPhone 2009 is a conference for anyone interested in learning how to write an iPhone application. Put on by MacWarriors, Association for Computing Machinery, and the University of Illinois Department of Computer Science, the conference has 8 one-hour and 15 minute sessions alongside open labs, a programming competition, and special talks about iPhone in the real-world.

Sessions

Our eight sessions will cover a range of topics; everything from what an iPhone application consists of to how to write in Objective-C to creating GUIs to optimizing iPhone graphics.

Labs

While sessions are informative and may answer a few questions, others are better answered by sitting down and doing code with someone who is an "expert". We will provide a few lab times where attendees can get one on one help with their code from seasoned developers.

Programming Competition

Are you looking for a chance to show off your iPhone talent and get rewarded? Then come to the first session to find our what application you will write, and then until 7 PM on the Sunday of conference, code it up. Submissions will be graded in a number of categories, and prizes awarded to the best individual or pair.
