This is actually a rather usable 3d interface. I was plesently surprised.
I would like to be able to freely about the environment, moving between platter to platter is sometimes obtrusive.
Set my own font face and make it easier to read the file name when they get longer. maybe only show a few names at time and have two levels that the text can reside upon. Alternating between the two for successive filenames.
rotating a platter should not have ends, i.e if i keep on rotating in any one direction, I should get back to where i started.
although i commend the pool idea, i can rather easily go beyond the edges of the pool object and then the display just looks bad.
i want to be able to control the color of the platters. I also want the name of the folder that each platter represents visible. It's easy to get lost.
but overall, good job. I am very excited to see where this can go.
