Rhapsody Development archive

Update!
As of Jan 1, 1998, this archive is currently in an idle update state. We are waiting for Rhapsody DR2 to become available, because we lost our development machine December 31st.

Original archives are included. Please only download them if you want to make full-fledged release packages for the source files. No guarantees are given for any software available here. All of the files in this archive are SOURCE CODE. You must download and compile them yourself. Encapped binaries will be available soon. These ports were not meant to be complete... they follow the phrase "It Just Works!"

About the patches that were made

Use this command: 
find . -exec grep apsody {}\;
to find all changes that were made regarding Rhapsody. It might be rare, but "grep s-bytnar@uiuc.edu {}\;" might come up with other fixes that were needed to be made also.

Caveats

hfsutils : does not seem to work... Rhapsody already has some lame support built in which seems to keep this program from working.

ncftp : just needs to be built as "build next".

netatalk : Rhapsody DR1's kernel does NOT support AppleTalk socket connections although all of the header files are available for supporting it. Maybe /etc/protocols needs to be "fixed" or "enhanced" to include a line for ddp/AppleTalk support... and if the kernel really does have it built in, it should just work, but we wont know til someone figures this out or can verify that it just isn't compiled into the kernel yet.

Hopeless ports

tk8.0p1.tar.gz  requires x windows.
top-3.4.tar.gz  requires a lot of kernel info hacking.
