Computers

  • Demo Machine - One computer will be needed for visitors to walk up try LaserLine hands on. We only have one projector so there will only be one demo unit? (should an audio version be made available?)->no audio output at EOH, but we can talk about it being available
  • Video Machine - A well produced (and informative) video/slideshow which will draw visitor's attention and allow them to learn about our project without needing to ask us directly (win-win for everybody).

Equipment

  • Easels for posters - We will need easels to mount our posters onto. Thankfully procuring these won't be any problem at all - CS Department has plenty of them.
  • Projection screen - Needed so we can display our laser shows to passersby. A portable projection screen has been requested from the Engineering Department.

Safety

  • Lasers are dangerous things, and we need our booth design must account for that.
  • Anybody who works at the booth must have taken the online laser safety tutorial from the University's Division of Research Safety. The reading materials and tutorial are here.
