Laser Scanner
A Laser Scanner is a hardware device for rapidly moving a laser beam in order to trace out a figure to be projected onto a screen. There are a number of different ways to build a laser scanner, we'll cover the two that concern the LaserLine project.
Speakers
We used this type of scanner for LaserLine 1.0. It works by varying the current (audio volume) in two speakers to move small mirrors along the x and y axis. Generally the quality of the scanning produced by this scanner is not that great.
Galvanometer
This is the design to be used in LaserLine 2.0.
