UPDATE Our law office suggests that you call them directly if you would like to help out. They've also informed us that size does matter. |
UPDATE 5:37 PM Our lawyers gave us a call and assured us that you don't need to use elliptic cryptography, number theory or differential cryptanalysis to contact them. Jehosephat, people: It's only farking Monday. |
UPDATE 7:23 PM We've had a lot of questions asking us why we chose this particular law firmin particular. We can't go into the specifics, but we were very impressed with their "Open Source" approach to legal defense. Unlike some of their competitors like 1-900-IP-CHEAP (who are ironically really, really expensive. Don't call them.) allowing the concerned community to help in what would otherwise be costly discovery. They've already gotten successful judgements in a few cases (or so they tell us.) And we're really happy to have them on our side. |
UPDATE 8:44 PM We've been staring at the phone here in the office for the past few hours, waiting for the lawyers to call:![]() |
MAJOR UPDATE 9:20 PM We discovered an important error in the .pdf file. A new version has been uploaded. If you have something that contains 7836468, it should be 73836368. If you ran into the error, it would have been obvious and shouldn't affect you much. |
UPDATE 11:00 PM Our lawyers have informed us that several interested persons have contacted them offering to help with the case! It seems their mail is a bit slow, but they have received your messages. If you've dropped them a message, go to sleep; you deserve it!oh, and if you're having hearing difficulties, the first letter is a 'c', not an 'e'. |
Puzzle solvers, It is with great regret that we must inform you that that this year's Reflections | Projections Conference puzzle competition has been cancelled. This morning, ACM staffers were served legal papers [pdf] [jpg] from a multinational puzzle conglomerate legally restraining us from proceeding and claiming exclusive ownership of the idea of a "puzzle competition." We have retained legal representation, but unfortunately our hearing isn't until Friday and we're enjoined from proposing puzzles until then. If you have information that might be pertinent to our defense, please contact our lawyers at (312) 324-0595. We're very dissappointed we can't run a puzzle competition this year. Hopefully, we'll be able to do something else interesting... Thank you for your support, Reflections | Projections PS: Occasionally a G looks like a Q to those very tired. Don't pay it any mind. It is certainly not important. |
