About/
Overview
ACM SIGGRAPH is dedicated to the generation and dissemination of information on computer graphics and interactive techniques. We are a membership organization that values passion, integrity, excellence, volunteerism, and cross-disciplinary interaction in all of our activities.
UIUC ACM SIGGRAPH is an official student chapter of the ACM SIGGRAPH organization, which is an acronym for Association for Computing Machinery’s Special Interest Group on Graphics and Interactive Techniques. ACM SIGGRAPH is a subgroup of its parent organization ACM. Our chapter is comprised of UIUC students from majors such as Computer Science, Art & Design, Physics, and more. Our organization has been at the University of Illinois for a long time, and became official in 2008.
The UIUC Chapter is dedicated to research and project development in all forms of computer graphics. The primary project or projects each year are developed to be presented at the annual Engineering Open House. In the past we have done computer animated short films, short special effects films, games, and graphic research projects.
