About Us
UIUC ACM SIGGRAPH is a "Student Chapter in Formation" of the ACM SIGGRAPH organization. Our organization has been at the University of Illinois for a long time, and we are now becoming an official Student Chapter of ACM SIGGRAPH. We recently submitted our proposed set of bylaws, our first year plan and a petition of formation to ACM SIGGRAPH.
The UIUC Chapter is dedicated to research and project development in all forms of computer graphics. The primary project or projects each year are developed to be presented at the annual Engineering Open House.
UIUC SIGGRAPH also teams up with SIGMusic in a joint effort known as Sounds & Visions.
New members are always welcome. General meetings are held on Thursday evenings in Siebel Center Room 0220. Specific times have been fluid for the 2007-2008 academic year due to the variety of projects, so be sure to check out our calendar on the front page or contact us for more information about contributing.
